Our Mission
We are an affiliate of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. With the support of the Music Sub Committee of the Albany Diocesan Liturgical Commission, we work to foster education opportunities for our pastoral musicians in the Diocese of Albany. Through our events and network of musicians, we build community and offer support to meet the liturgical needs of the Diocese.

These are FREE sessions hosted by GIA in many different cities and you'll take home a complimentary packet of octavos and information on each piece.
GIA Fall Institute
THE GIA FALL INSTITUTE IS A CELEBRATION OF OUR MISSION TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF MUSICIANS IN ALL SETTINGS.
GIA is bringing together leaders in music, worship, education, and formation to offer an assortment of skill-building and enrichment workshops on subjects like choral rehearsal techniques, conducting, pastoral music, leadership, liturgy, theology, organ, piano, and spirituality. There will also be keynote addresses, ecumenical prayer opportunities, along with sacred and secular choral reading sessions. -
Liturgical Training Publications
There are 3 online learning opportunities for your consideration this Fall. Two of these opportunities are from The Essentials of Catholic Liturgy: A Foundational Course for Pastoral, Liturgical and Music Ministers and the third is a Virtual Workshop: Cantor Series.
